Light is a necessity whether you have to search for something, do some DIY or walk in the darkness or in the night.

Orion, the light capsule, is a powerful LED lamp which offers energy and light for a group of people. Its use adapts according to people’s needs and whatever the context. The lamp functions inside, outside and on the move. It functions with a foldable photovoltaic film (Armor’s OPV technology) which can be rolled up using an adjustable thumbwheel switch on the base. The lamp with its triangular and round shape is fitted with 3 handles for added grip. Orion can be placed on the ground or hung up and is, of course, extremely shock resistant. The top of the lamp can be removed to uncover an unidirectional lamp.

This project is part of the exhibition "Survival" from L’École de design Nantes Atlantique - Salone Internazionale del Mobile à Milan from April 7 to 13, 2014 - Salone Satellite stand B-37.
