Noise City by Simon Renault
Would you like to hear the sounds of your city in a different way? Would you like to hear it sing, squeak or rustle? Simon came up with the idea of two distinct interfaces. The first one is aimed at cultural institutions, local authorities and events agencies. It enables them to play around with the creation of geolocalised sound experiences in the urban space. A chateau might suddenly vibrate with the formidable sound of ancient chanting, while a botanic garden may come alive with mysterious, multicoloured fauna, etc.
The second interface, which is for public use, brings these sound experiences to life. City-dwellers move around a familiar space where new sounds evoke a sense of travelling, surprise or dreaming.
