How to promote access for all in festivals? by Baptistine Pichon

Art and culture have undeniably therapeutic qualities and should be easily accessible to all; however, in France, 12 million people are disabled and thus excluded from certain festivals because of inadequate entrance points. How can we guide this specific audience to the stages that are open, welcoming and adapted to their needs?

In response to this observation, Baptistine Pichon created a tool: the AFA application. AFA is focused on the various festivals and types of infrastructure, targeting events according to types of disability, and enabling the purchase of online tickets and the sharing of recommendations between peers. An additional avenue for reflection is provided by the «Sensation» festival, focused on the five senses.
