Challenged by Fagor to come up with a new design for their washing machines that would be relevant and attractive to the under-35 set, Benjamin Riot and Valentin Sollier created Hello.
Hello is a two-part product consisting of a compact washing machine and a detachable basket that stores up to 5 kilos of dirty clothes. The idea is that an app will connect people who are looking to do laundry with people who have a washing machine. In theory, customers would roll their basket over to the home with a washer and either drop off their laundry or do it themselves. Instead of sitting in a laundry room, they could drink a beer with new friends.
The projetct Hello won a Core77 Award for student-designed consumer product.
