In 2013, Malongo offered students a contest to look at the patterns of tomorrow’s consumption and how to consider coffee in contemporary society.
Gerris is out of this reflection. This tasting set invites to share a special time around sugar and coffee.
Gerris is a water spider, walking on water, thanks to its hydrophobic legs. Why sugar, so fragile, could it not do the same? Thus the idea of levitation turned into atypical for this cup.
Gerris is composed of soft shapes mounted on feet, glorifying this daily ritual.
The Gerris project won the 3rd prize of Malongo contest.
