A dedicated place to discover wine and promote heritage.

Entre-chai is both a storage area and a sales point.

A place where amateurs, producers and collectors can meet.

Promote local production through events and workshops.

How can we improve our knowledge of wine while promoting the know-how of the wine-making industry? In cities, private storage spaces are limited, unlike in rural environments. Valentin came up with the idea of Entre-Chai as a place dedicated to the conservation and management of bottles for wine enthusiasts and collectors. Devoted to the world of wine, the space promotes local wine production through regular workshops and wine-tasting events. Besides the commercial aspect, it is dedicated to specialist advice and to sharing experiences. It promotes the discovery of regional identity and showcases the wealth of local know-how.

" Valentin’s project seeks to promote local wine production in city centers. The idea is to bring together wine enthusiasts and wine-makers in a unique venue featuring shared cellars, speculation/bartering and a tasting workshop. Rather than increasing private storage spaces and sales points (increasingly difficult in cities due to problems of density and mobility), Valentin has focused on space-sharing to increase people’s knowledge of wine (important French cultural heritage), improve storage conditions in a strategic site, boost trade and improve relations with local producers. Much more than a storage area, it is a place for socializing and interacting, enlivened by a schedule of entertaining cultural events. Valentin decided to focus on the economic context and reality on the ground in order to understand wine sector stakeholders and their specific challenges in Val de Loire, be they wine-makers, sellers, sommeliers, oenologists, collectors, wine enthusiasts or even tourists. This strong stance helps Valentin develop a project which meets the specific requirements of sustainable cities. "
