Summer workshops : La Session Design 2016
La Session Design is a series of international summer workshops organized by L’École de design Nantes Atlantique and hosted in one of our campuses in France or in China.
This summer L’École de design organizes two workshops : one in Nantes, France entitled « Food design», focusing on design projects in relationship with food and the food industry, and another one in Shanghai, China entitled « Smarter cities by design», and focusing on the opportunities for designers to co-build connected cities and environments.
Nantes is located at the heart of one of Europe’s most important agricultural regions, best known for its vegetable production.
In this context, our New Eating Habits Design Lab offers a workshop centered on an important projects and researchs axis: the Eco innovation. Students projetcts will be articulated around two main themes: adding value to local products and food production waste recovery.
This summer workshop will be held in Nantes, France from 27 June to 8 July 2016.
Smarter Cities by Design
The concept of “smart city” brings us to a changing era for designers who now have the responsibility to conceive new services FOR people based on the ever-increasing amount of data collected all over the city.
A unique opportunity for design students and young professionals to discuss and share ideas and concepts under the guidance of Florent Orsoni, director of the Sustainable Cities Design Lab, and Mathieu Bernard, course leader of our China Studio.
This summer workshop will be held in Shanghai, China from 27 June to 8 July 2016.
