Urbanités numériques (Digital Urbanities)
Urbanités numériques, issue 3 of the Sciences du Design (Sciences of Design) journal is available online and in bookshops from 22 June 2016. It has been produced under the leadership of Jocelyne Le Bœuf, Design Labs Research Director at L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, Grégoire Cliquet from the READi Design Lab and Scientific Director of the Banque Populaire Atlantique - LIPPI Connected Environments Chair, and Jean-Louis Kerouanton, science and technology historian and Vice President of the University of Nantes, responsible for its property assets.
How can the user take control of urban changes? What does the idea of contributing citizenship really mean? What do we understand by flows, interactive devices, mediation and real and virtual hybridisation? This publication takes a multi-disciplinary approach, from a design, architecture and human and social sciences point of view, to examine questions centred around research conducted by the Banque Populaire Atlantique - LIPPI Connected Environments Chair team at L’École de design Nantes Atlantique.
Digital Urbanities has also published a freely-available collection of 12 visuals, edited and supervised by David Bihanic (http://visu.sciences-du-design.org/).
