2018 Observeur du design: 4 stars and 17 labels for our alumni

2018 Observeur du design: 4 stars and 17 labels for our alumni

The Observeur du design 2018

Organized by APCI, the awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 5 December 2017 at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. Like every year, the event brought together 1400 professionals together with representatives from the government and the media. Our school alumni were in the limelight this year with 4 stars and 17 labels. A set of creations which proved yet again the diversity of our students’ design skills and journeys.

As Anne-Marie Boutin (former APCI President recently deceased) puts it: with design, "it’s not about preserving our environments and lifestyles, it’s about enabling each of us to think about the emergence of new possibilities and to play a part in designing the future. Designers play an important role in the way they work. More than their creativity, their ability to empathize, their holistic approach and their talent for formatting, designers act like a catalyst, unique in project teams, whose mastery of non-verbal tools (drawings, models, scenarios) cuts across disciplines and cultures. The Labels won at the 2018 Observeur du design bear witness to the diversity of their work.
