As part of the cycle of conferences given by alumni, the honour has fallen to Ophélie Le Bras, who graduated in 2015, to get the ball rolling!
After choosing a joint course, (Information design master program) design degree and Business Administration master at l’IAE de Nantes, Ophélie completed her final internship at Datagif, an agency specialized in media and, more specifically, data journalism.
After this experience working for a variety of clients, she decided to devote her early career to a position of in-house designer. Her aim was to be at the heart of product issues, with detailed knowledge of the context, specific features and the users in question.
At the beginning of 2016, with this in mind, she joined AXA’s Data Innovation Lab, an entity that works on developing products to process data collected on the company’s activities and clients. The challenges are huge – they deal mainly with connected objects and insurance tools.
In 2018, she joined the company Qwant, the French search engine which respects its users’ private lives. She works in the Product team as a UX/UI designer.
A parallel path of entrepreneurship
At the same time as doing her job at AXA, Ophélie has co-founded the start-up Wino with four students from Hetic school. The goal of this little company is ambitious: the team wants to digitalize the full chain of actors in the wine business, from the winegrower to the end consumer, thus creating a massive wine database. Ophélie is Lead Designer.
Entrepreneurship is rife with difficulties, and Wino has suffered a few setbacks… But the team has bounced back and in 2016 developed a cash register connected to iPad dedicated to wine merchants to help guide these wine professionals in the digitalization process.
The conference will take place on Tuesday 20 March from 6pm to 7pm in L’École de design’s Sottsass room. It is compulsory for students from cycle bachelor Graphisme and open to all.
