Since 1999, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique has developed an ambitious strategy to offer a truly international experience to its students. The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught in English to French and international students, providing them exciting opportunities to discover the design as taught within the school, and to work on design projects in a multicultural environment.
The International Relations team makes life easier for international students from the day they arrive until the day they graduate. As a result to our commitment, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique was awarded the “Bienvenue en France” label with the maximum score of three stars by Campus France. This label demonstrates the institution’s quality in welcoming international students.
International Experience by L’École de design
The International Class / 3rd year of DN MADE is a one-year program welcoming French and international students of various nationalities who wish to complete a French undergraduate degree, through the third (which is the last) year of Bachelor level studies.
The teaching is organized around three main areas: generic culture and humanities, cross-disciplinary teaching and practical and professional teaching. Throughout the year, our students will work on various workshops, including an international workshop supervised by teachers from our partner schools, and will also develop a personal project that will be the subject of a final diploma defense.
Depending on their background, students will specialize in one of the four programs offered:
The Master’s degree in design (MDes) is a 5-year curriculum divided into two cycles (a 3-year undergraduate program followed by a 2-year postgraduate program).
The MDes programs constitute the educational component of our 5 innovation and design centers, which serve to examine the role of designers and the solutions they can provide to the world of business and research to help overcome the challenges of our modern societies.
This one-year program between Paris and Shanghai represents a unique opportunity to combine design and communication in an international context and to obtain a level 7 diploma accredited by the French accreditation body "Conférence des Grandes Écoles".
A one-year program to prepare French-speaking international students to join undergraduate studies in Arts, Design & Media
The Arts, Design, and Media foundations studies is specifically tailored for French-speaking international students who wish to pursue their undergraduate studies in a French-speaking program.
This program is divided in two phases: after having completed one semester of intensive French classes at University of Nantes, students join in L’École de design Nantes Atlantique for an adaptation to the French design culture and an opening to different design forms.
