International Recognition

We are involved in a number of international organizations to promote design education, design excellence and the role of design in the emergence of sustainable solutions for our societies.

Cumulus, first association worldwide in the field of design education

Since 1999, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique has been a member of Cumulus, the first world association of higher education institutions in art, design and media. Cumulus now gathers 257 members worldwide and organizes 2 symposiums a year to spur exchanges and collaborative projects.

Christian Guellerin, the school’s Managing Director, has been the president of the Cumulus association between 2007 and 2013. He is now Honorary President of the association.

From 2006 on, a series of events have been organized under the patronage of Cumulus.

Our international presence

L’École de design Nantes Atlantique is a member of Campus France, the official body for the promotion of French higher education worlwide, since 2010, and has signed the Erasmus Plus Charter to foster student mobility and European academic cooperation.

The school regularly participates in various international events (Lodz Design Festival, Shanghai design Biennale, Salone Satellite Milan, Luxe Pack Monaco, Ventura Lambrate Milan, Shanghai Design Week, Digital Content Expo Tokyo, IVRC Tokyo, New Designers London, Dubai Design Week).

Our students have also won several prizes and awards (Electrolux Design Lab, SIGGRAPH, IVRC, Pentawards, Braun Prize, Red Dot Award… ) and have participated in several competitions (Microsoft Imagine Cup, Worldskills, Global Viz Marathon… ).
