Our international campuses and the development of academic partnerships in relation to strong economical and cultural environments give to our students the opportunity of truely international careers, with an intercultural dimension.

Offshore campuses in China, India and Brazil : a way to export our academic model

Since 2007, the school has been established in the People’s Republic of China, first in Qingdao (China) and now in Shanghai. This location offers an opportunity for young designers to become experts in design for the Chinese economic and cultural context.

The Transcultural Design China Studio MDes program is organized in partnership with the Faculty of Fine Arts of Shanghai University.

A second Master’s program, also based on the notion of Transcultural Design has started in September 2010 in Bangalore, India with a similar approach: a total immersion in the Indian cultural and economic context as a springboard towards an international career. The program has moved to Delhi in 2014 in partnership with The Design Village.

In 2017, L’École de design has opened a third Transcultural Design program in São Paulo, Brazil, in partnership with Mackenzie Presbyterian University
