MDes Mutations of the Built Environment

This program is only open to students who validate their undergraduate studies at L’École de design.

A postgraduate program in two years specialized in Mutaions of the Built Environment, a single master’s degree in design

The MDes Mutations of the Built Environment explores the concept of accessibility and co-design to create sustainable and innovative spaces, products and services, in all areas of application. It is based on a human-centered and participatory approach, within a universal design (Design for all).

Course outline

The master’s course programs are completed over two years, divided into 4 semesters.

Semester 1
Students will spend their first semester abroad, either as an exchange students or on an internship.

Semester 2
Complex design projects management related to the chosen program and end of study project preparation.

Semester 3
Continuation and finalization of the end of study project.

Semester 4
Four to six month internship within a company in France or abroad, as a junior designer.

Master’s degree in design

As all our master programs, this one leads you to the Master’s degree in design, certified by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and registered in the Registre National des Certifications Professionnelles (the French directory for vocational qualifications or RNCP) as a Level I Master’s degree.
