A one-year international program between Paris and Shanghai, a unique opportunity to combine design and communication
What is a "Master of Science ®" (MSc)? The MSc is a level 7 diploma accredited by the French accreditation body "Conférence des Grandes Écoles". Its purpose is to acquire a high-level professional specialized education resolutely oriented towards international markets.
The MSc International Brand Design & Storytelling aims to train in immersion young creative professionals capable of carrying out intercultural projects, creating innovative solutions and working in interdisciplinary and international teams.
This program is recognized and accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles thanks to strict criteria concerning structure, recruitment methods, teaching approach, international openness, links with the business world, support for students and teaching.
This program, delivered between two continents, will allow these future professionals to acquire a double expertise of the French and Chinese markets while developing their ability to work in a multicultural and international context.
Thanks to a project-oriented pedagogy, students will benefit from the expertise of professionals in order to develop their management and project management skills which they will apply during a 4-month internship.
The program is an ideal solution for students wishing to add an international value to their media, journalism, communication or design background.

The MSc International Brand Design & Storytelling is a course co-accredited by the L’École de design Nantes Atlantique and in partnership with the École W.
- The pedagogical program is established by L’École de design Nantes Atlantique in partnership with École W.
During this one-year program, students will learn how to communicate and create a distinctive identity through storytelling and brand content, with a consistent training period in Paris & in Shanghai, creative capitals of the world, followed by a 4-month internship in a country of their choice.
This program is organized over one year and divided into three parts:
Paris at École W (from January to March)
Courses: 327 hours (30 ECTS)
Fundamentals of content creation & storytelling – 105 hours / 10 ECTS credits

Brand strategy – 141 hours / 12 ECTS credits
- Marketing: Strategy and brand issues
- Communication and Advertising: the art of telling a story and selling it
- Events: from concept to scenography for an immersive and experiential experience
- Brand content strategy and social networks
- Monitoring, analytics and SEO/SEA tools
- Personalization of the customer experience
Luxury, fashion and art industry focus & application – 81 hours / 8 ECTS credits
- Agency competitions
Shanghai at the China Studio of L’École de design Nantes Atlantique (from April to June)
Courses: 203 hours (30 ECTS)
Fundamentals of the Design process – 66 hours / 9 ECTS credits

Internship from July to December (30 ECTS)
At the end of the course period, students the leave for a 4 to 6-month internship (16 weeks minimum), in China, France, or any other European or Asian country. This internship leads to the writing of a thesis and a defense.
> Academic requirements
This program is open to all applicants who have completed at least four years of studies in media, journalism or design, equating to at least 240 ECTS credits.
Exemptions after 3 years of studies (180 ECTS) based on experience assessment will be allowed
> Language requirements
If you are not a native English speaker, we ask that you provide proof of your English proficiency (minimum level of 700 points at the TOEIC test or equivalent for programs taught in English).

How? Application can only be done online.
When? Applications are open on our website from April 1st to November 30th 2022.
How much does it cost? Once you have filled out your personal data, you will be required to pay a non-refundable application fees of 150€ to cover the administrative costs of your admission process. The application fees will be deducted from the tuition fees if you validate your registration. This payment is only possible by credit card or Paypal and is fully secured.
The selection process is organized as follow:
1. Creation of the Applicant Page and payment of the application fees (€150),
2. Upload of the application file,
3. Application file review,
4. If your application is accepted, you will be invited to an individual interview with two juries (duration 20 minutes) with a presentation of your portfolio.
