International Curriculum

We are convinced that welcoming foreign students from other design training programs is a source of mutual advancement that improves both the quality of our teaching and the know-how of our graduates.

International undergraduate and postgraduate programs

The organization of the Master’s Degree (MDes) programs (for further details, see the section "Master’s Degree in Design MDes") into topic-oriented programs in which students holding a Bachelor’s Degree in design can enroll.

A number of programs are now organised in English, both in Nantes, Shanghai & Delhi. Students may register for our programs for at least 2 years.

A preparatory class for the MDes opened in 2014 for international students willing to apply to one of the French-taught postgraduate programs. This curriculum includes one intensive semester of French learning and one semester of design.

The school is a member of Campus France, the official body for the promotion of French higher education worldwide, guaranteeing a smoother administrative process for non-European students.

Undergraduate programs in English are also open to foreign students wishing to do one or two semesters of integration in France, before joining the master’s programs. The International Class is divided in three different options : Industrial Product, Brand Design & Connected Environments.

Shorter sessions are to be organised in June 2016 in Shanghai & Nantes: La Session Design.

Academic exchange programs

A significant stay abroad constitutes a worthy asset for a young graduate. As part of the Master’s Degree, students are required to do a one-semester stay abroad (academic exchange or training period). In return, the school regularly welcomes foreign students for 1 or 2 semesters.
The school is part of the Erasmus Plus program of the European Union.

See the section "International exchanges" for further information about our exchange programs.

Apprentices from the Vocational Training Center for Creation and Innovation (CFA) may also benefit from short stays abroad as part of their studies.
